Since this past Wednesday was the 235th anniversary of Sybil Ludington’s Ride, when she rode approximately 44 miles thru the dark Putnam countryside to gather Patriots to fight the British (who were burning the city of Danbury), I brought my kids to visit her gravesite in Patterson.
