One of the things that make Putnam County so great is it’s proximity to so many amazing things – Manhattan, the Catskills & Adirondacks, the Berkshires, and the Connecticut coastline. So if Putnam is your home-base, but you feel the need to get away, here are some ideas. Most are only a few minutes outside the county, but a few are a little over an hour away. And the section at the bottom of the page has places that can be much further away, but, hey, it’s my website and I visited these places, so I am adding them for my enjoyment! Hope they inspire you.
