This marker sits alongside Route 301, at the intersection with Belden Road, just before the causeway that leads over West Branch Reservoir, assuming you are heading west from downtown Carmel. At first glance, and based on the marker’s location, you might assume that the long causeway is Carver Bridge. It is not. The location of Carver Bridge is now underwater – and a half-mile to the south.
